Punjabi-Australian vocalist and The Bombay Royale member Parvyn has revealed a stunning new music video by award-winning director Bina Bhattacharya.
The new clip for What You See, a single produced in collaboration with Joelistics, “evolved in a really organic way”.
“Over the course of lockdowns I reached out to several different people and finally came across cinematography Amy Dellar who has made videos for some of my fave Melbourne artists like Mwanje, Akosia, Clypso and Banoffee,” Parvyn told The Music.
“All the videos I saw had a really strong female perspective and representation which is important to me.
“Amy then hooked me up with Gabbie from Majella Productions who did an amazing job producing the video and getting all the crew together including connecting me with director Bina Bhattacharya from Sydney.
“Bina and my rapport was instant and we bounced ideas off each other really openly until the final storyboard came together.

“One of the most special things about the video is having my sisters, niece and cousins with me.
“I really wanted to share a strong and authentic image of our Punjabi culture and heritage that I am so proud to be part of and encourage more melanin rich faces to be seen on screens.”
What You See is taken from Parvyn’s forthcoming debut album due out in September.
