VIDEO PREMIERE: ORCHA - 'Reverie'

Following its release last month, Melbourne-based violinist, songwriter and producer ORCHA returns today with a brand new video for his track Reverie, and we here at theMusic.com.au have the exclusive premiere.

Directed, edited and filmed by Grace Carey and shot at ORCHA's studio, Natural Habitat, in Reservoir, Victoria, the clip taps into the atmospheric soundscape the producer creates through his music to transport viewers to a psychedelic dream world.

"Sleep is an escape from reality, and something I look forward to every day; relief from anxious thoughts and feelings," he explained to The Music. 

"I sleep to dream and dream about sleeping so when I wrote Reverie, I always pictured a video featuring me sleeping. Grace Carey and I shot this at my studio in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Natural Habitat. The video was shot by rigging a camera and projector to hang above my head. I “slept” on a mattress while Grace projected visuals all over the bed and turned the scene into some kind of psychedelic dream."
