"The 'Jekyll and Hide' clip started out as a spoof on dated animal-pal adventure films... "
Now just weeks out from the release of their brand new album, Desperate Measures, Aussie punk rock legends The Meanies are preparing fans with their latest music video for Jekyll & Hide - the second single from the record - premiering on theMusic.com.au today!
The Meanies frontman Link Meanie, who created the clip, told The Music that the video initially started "as a spoof on dated animal-pal adventure films like Milo & Otis and quickly got dafter, incorporating a kind of Lord Of The Rings element with a Python-esque ending".
"I love the birdseye view section with the shadow of the monster passing over our hero," Meanie said.
"I think my crap software must have crashed 100 times in the process of its making."
Check out the full clip above.
Desperate Measures - set for release on 8 July - will be the band’s first since 2015 comeback record It’s Not Me, It’s You.
