"It's an anthem for anybody who has been hurt by somebody in a way words can't show."

Brisbane indie-pop singer-songwriter Lucy Korts has today unveiled the music video to her recent single, Gone, premiering via The Music.

Debuting in 2017, Korts has shared the stage with the likes of Alex Lahey, The Paper Kites and The Temper Trap, gaining recognition from her stirring performances via her vocal prowess.

Since then, she's developed a reputation for her ever evolving sonic presence, including electro-pop flavouring to match her deeply honest lyrical ability.

Gone showcases this vulnerability in her songwriting with the track mapping a process of cathartic release, with its bridge exploding into a crescendo of epic synths and Korts' striking vocals.

Gone is a feeling like the one in your chest when your heart is breaking," she stated.

"It's an anthem for anybody who has been hurt by somebody in a way words can't show, bringing a strong and equally as delicate pop beat that delivers honesty to the feelings that come with hurt.”
