"A great project to keep busy during quarantine!”

More Life Is Better Blonde More Life Is Better Blonde

The track Ghosts from Melbourne producer Life Is Better Blonde might just be his most emotional, so it was a big task in constructing the music video.

The new clip, premiering today via The Music, is “part video diary and part love letter to Taiwan”.

“The metaphorical spectres represent the wake left from large waves of emotion, and how those feelings can haunt a person,” video director Johnny Maloney told The Music of the track.

“I needed a way to visually portray that, and when I was looking over footage I took while travelling around Taiwan (a country close to mine and LiBB’s heart) a blueprint for this video started to form in my mind.

“The different locales, be it busy streets, tranquil mountains, or an abandoned hospital act as symbols for different emotional states which shift and blend together. Whether moments of intense life and vibrancy or scenes of desolation and foreboding, like tides onto the shoreline, they all leave their mark.

Ghosts for me is an abstract expression of the power and volatility of the human experience. It was also a great project to keep busy during quarantine!”
