PREMIERE: Kingswood Craft A Visual Love Letter To New York With Their Contemplative 'Big City' Clip

The band are currently in the midst of their 'Maximus' tri-state tour.

More Kingswood Kingswood

Busy Melbourne outfit Kingswood have taken a quick breather from their tri-state 'Maximus' tour — having warmed up in Sydney and the Central Coast at the weekend before their next stop next month — to release the video for their new tune Big City.

Taken from the band's recently released album After Hours, Close To Dawn, Big City's clip comprises a mixture of footage shot in the archetypal big city — New York — and highlights the colourful characters, circumstances and settings that comprise life in the concrete jungle.

The track, and the album from which it comes, was recorded in Nashville, and the influence of those surrounds shines through in its thoughtful, earnest evocations, which sit comfortably atop the urban footage shot by band member Alex Laska as a love letter to the Big Apple.

Joined by The Vanns and Dear Seattle, Kingswood continue their 'Maximus' tour in Warrnambool on Friday 10 November, with additional dates in Adelaide, Ballarat and Melbourne.
