VIDEO PREMIERE: Ghyti - No Dice

Adelaide indie rockers Ghyti have proved all you need for a great music video is a decent concept and catchy tune; both of which are on full show in the band’s No Dice effort.

The hilarious coming of age clip stems from their latest EP, Commodities, which dropped in April, and features a young Jesus Christ rebelling again his mother and running away from home. Simple and effective.

“It is about realising you're trapped in a bad situation no matter how hard you try to get out. Call it a moral lesson,” Ghyti said of the song.

“It sort of made sense to think of Jesus as a petulant teenager, trapped by his obligations. Plus it seemed funny to imagine him playing basketball.”

Drummer Travis Duke plays the lead, Alana Jagt of Buffalo Boyfriend plays Mary, and it was directed by frontman Matthew Hill “on a budget of the cost of a can of Solo”.
