Adelaide alt-pop singer-songwriter Fleur Green and her band, The Keepers, are set to release their debut album, When The Tide Rushes In, next month, and in the lead-up to its landing have revealed the stark and sublime video for new cut Pretty Bird.
The gorgeous, stripped-back song is accompanied by a fittingly simple video clip, focusing in tight on Green and her piano — the dual stars of the piece — and the power she projects sans back-up from her bandmates Gerard Spalding (drums, vocals) and Flik Freeman (bass, vocals).
"Pretty Bird is a ballad about beautiful creatures that fly into your life and fly out again," Green said in a statement. "I'd like people to take their own meaning from it and relate to it in their own way.
"If I can say anything ... [it's about] not attaching yourself to a feeling of grief when beautiful things leave."
The 12-track When The Tide Rushes In is due for release on Friday 3 November, and features guest performances from the likes of Peter Whish-Wilson (tuba, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra), classical guitarist Alex Tsiboulski, cellist Brihony Taylor and saxophonist Jason McMahon.

Fleur Green & The Keepers will be out and about in the coming weeks, hitting The Jade Monkey this Friday, 20 October, and the Grace Emily Hotel for an album launch show on Saturday 4 November.
