Badass Brisbane duo Elko Fields have unveiled their vintage-tinged video for the delicious scuzz-rock of new tune Never Slow Down, and theMusic.com.au is stoked to be premiering the clip today.
Presented as though it's being watched on an old-school CRT television, replete with rounded edges, saturated colour and pre-widescreen ratio, the video is a stylish and fitting accompaniment to the tune itself, taken from the band's lauded self-titled debut EP, released back in November.
In frontwoman Kella Vee's own words, making the video was really just the latest step in a hectic 12-month journey that had already seen her headbanging in a state forest for previous clip Cough It Up and knocking over an east-coast tour in support of the release before, she says, "I somehow found myself strapped to the top of a bright pink Fiat Bambino flying around a racetrack, shredding to Never Slow Down".
"I guess you could say it's been a hell of a ride," she muses.

It's a ride that isn't likely to end any time soon; quite the contrary, in fact, as she welcomes new drummer Jhindu Lawrie (of The Medics and Luke Daniel Peacock's band) to the ranks and prepares for an even more full-on journey throughout the rest of 2017.
"Raw two-piece rock-outs are the essence of our live sound, so to have a drummer like Jhindu on-board, bringing so much energy and chaos to the live show, is electrifying," Vee said in a statement. "We've got a few goodies up our sleeve for 2017, with some exciting shows to be announced and new releases to bestow upon the world. It’s bound to be brutal."
If you're local, you can catch Vee and Lawrie showing off their newly established chemistry at Brissy's Crowbar on Thursday 20 April. See theGuide for all the details.
