PREMIERE: Behold The Unbridled Joy Of Bugs' Glorious Video For New Single 'Neighbourhood'

The Brissy band release their second EP next month.

More Bugs Bugs

In the lead-up to the release of their second EP and an accompanying tour over the next couple of months, beloved Brisbane band Bugs have unveiled the gloriously joyful video for their excellent recent single, Neighbourhood.

Filmed in the backyard of frontman Connor Brooker, the DIY clip encapsulates the song's thematic core and aesthetic irreverence, showcasing the group at their fun-loving best and even featuring an adorable pug (they're good dogs, Brent).

"With the Neighbourhood video I think we just wanted to portray ourselves and the song as honest as possible," Brooker said. "We don't have a lot of money, but we have a whole tonne of fun together, and I think that is reflected in the smiley nature of the clip.

"We also just wanted it to be funny and relatable; none of us in the band take ourselves too seriously. Also we had to shoot it in my backyard, it suits the theme of the song to a tee and you can't beat a Queenslander!"

Neighbourhood is the first single from the band's upcoming second EP, which is due for release in the coming months.
