It’s always time for a little hardcore parkour, especially if it’s in Boatkeeper’s new video for Shadows, premiering today on theMusic.com.au.
Vocalist, Boyd Fuller, was inspired to write the song by a documentary he saw on CIA whistleblower Edward Snowden. The tune explores a reality where everyone is watched and monitored with the clip putting those ideas into visuals.
Brisbane parkour athlete, Brodie Pawson, features throughout the video, darting in and out of an abandoned railway yard, a place the band thought no one would ever find. Pawson represents the government, symbolising that no matter how well you hide, there may always be something lurking in the hard to see places.
Shadows is the first taste fans have gotten from Boatkeeper’s upcoming EP which is set to drop next Friday, 16 February.
