After its debut earlier this month, Aspy Jones has just released the accompanying video for Hatches, premiering exclusively today on theMusic.com.au.
Full of character, Jones said he wrote the single to "inspire a friend who was going through a really tough time".
Currently sitting at number five on the Unearthed charts, Jones said in a statement, “I hear a lot of songs about depression and sometimes I think they can make you feel worse".
"When I was writing Hatches, I wanted it to have a positive feel and wanted the same mood in the video.
"People sometimes call depression ‘the black dog’ but I didn’t want the dog in the video to be scary. I wanted a sense that the dog is just there, nothing to be frightened of but something that is going to come in and out of your life."
