"Probably the coolest thing I’ve done at 3am in the middle of Redfern.”
Described as a “super cute adolescent love story with a grungy twist”, the latest track from 16-year-old Dharawal singer-songwriter Aodhan, aka Aidan Whitehall, now has a fun music video to accompany it.
The emerging artist, who won triple j’s Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative last year, today premieres his latest music video via The Music.
“This was a really fun project to work on! I had a great time shooting it with a great film crew, along with friends and family,” Aodhan said.
“And it was my first time experiencing this as well! Probably the coolest thing I’ve done at 3am in the middle of Redfern.”
On the track itself, Aodhan noted: "I’m Closed is a song about withdrawal and that feeling of needing to isolate yourself from others while you’re feeling low in order to keep others happy.
“Though the way I’ve written this song sounds like it could be directed at a significant other, it’s really aimed at anyone I love like friends and family.”
