Song title? Away From Me

Director: Julia Henning

What’s the concept behind the clip? We brainstormed many ideas, none of which seemed right. So instead we decided to make a music video about making a music video. It’s very silly and we had a lot of fun making it!

How long did it take to make? It only took seven hours to film but two days to edit!

Where did you film it? We filmed the clip at Lightly Salted Studio. It’s a great little space in the centre of Adelaide, with comfy couches and great coffee just across the road.

What’s your favourite part of the clip? There’s a moment in the clip where the band and I pretend to be a ‘90s style ‘boy band’. It looks so ridiculous and we were so awful at it, but it looks great and makes me laugh every time.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? We wanted to have a good time, poke fun at ourselves and the tropes the music world is always reusing.

Will you be launching it? We’ll be releasing it in a few weeks and we can’t wait so keep an eye out! We’re also performing at WOMADelaide, Botanic Gardens, 8 Mar.
