What’s the concept behind the clip? To create an animation featuring the band and Tony Allen, while retaining the feel of the music and the Afro-Kreol style. We wanted a clip full of colour, character and good vibes.
How long did it take to make? One year.
Where did you film it? The animation was created in Sydney with drafts being sent back and forth over the year. The whole clip was hand drawn and sketched.
What’s your favourite part of the clip? Seeing the band, including Tony Allen in animation. Pretty hilarious watching ourselves but absolutely awesome!
Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? The whole animation process. We didn't realise how tedious the whole process was from start to finish was.
Will you be launching it? Yes, Mojo's Bar, Fremantle Saturday, November 19.
