If you've been listening to Matt & Alex on triple j Breakfast lately, you'll know they've been making light of the track's lyrics, in which lead singer Kevin Parker talks of a fellow named 'Trevor' and how seeing Trevor holding hands with his gal was not 'the greatest feeling ever'. The radio hosts have been talking to listeners all over Australia about dodgy 'Trevors' they know, and bringing up other tracks where 'Trevor' is mentioned in the lyrics (and is also causing trouble).
In the clip, Trevor (who takes the form of a gorilla) finally gets what's coming to him. The NSFW vid sees Trevor the gorilla capture the heart of a total babe that the clip's basketball player protagonist is (obviously) vibing on. Babe gets down and dirty with gorilla man, and basketball player loses his shit. The cinematography is beautifully moody and warm, too, with a lush colour palette, and an animated sequence that's nothing short of brilliant.
