Melbourne alternative outfit, Acolyte, have released the details for their debut album, 'Shades Of Black', and have given us all another taste of the effort.

The quintet's new album, 'Shades Of Black' is set for release on August 5th and be available for pre-order on good ol' iTunes from this Friday, June 24th. As such, we're happy to present you with the band's dynamic, epic new track, 'Space And Time'. Suss it out below!

Now, the band dropped a pair of singles last year and this release will also feature those past two tracks - 'Perceptions' & 'The Message', But no excuse for checking those two out now. It's okay, we can wait.

From here, Acolyte will launch the new record with a hometown show in Melbourne at the Evelyn Hotel the very same day it becomes available - Friday, August 5th. The band recorded with award-winning Australian producer Ben Ehrenberg (Shihad, Calling all Cars) back in November of 2014 to record what would eventually become this new effort.

Vocalist Morgan-Leigh Brown is pretty damn enthusiastic about the debut album (and who wouldn't be!?) and about what went into the creation of their biggest release yet.

"Shades of Black is the biggest event of the bands lives... of my life. We have put tireless hours of blood, sweat and tears (literally) into making this a possibility. The album has been in the making for a very long time. It contains so much of each of us and has been completely financed and backed independently (all on our own). We just want it to get out there into peoples' ears and for them to love it as much as we do."

Alongside this new single comes a new lineup addition for the band with David Van Pelt of Divine Ascension joining the fray on keys. However, with one in, one goes out as comes with the departure of guitarist and co-founding member, Frank Perna.
