With all four members under the age of 17 and coming together over a shared love of genres and influences well beyond their years, UK quartet L'Objectif are an unexpected barrel of indie frivolity that'll knock your sonic socks off and leave you wanting more; and today, the Leeds lot are taking us on a guided track-by-track journey through their unbridled new EP 'Have It Your Way' which unleashed today.

Cinematic

Beginning with Cinematic, this song explores kind of an amplification of negative and intrusive thoughts we don’t like to admit we have when something goes very wrong, an honest exposure of anger and jealousy without sugar coating it.

Do It Again

Do It Again is basically a song about a bad person, a serial manipulator, it is meant to be a depiction of the world through their eyes.

Burn Me Out

Burn Me Out: clue in the name  suppose, it's about feeling burnt out, from relationships to anything in general. A cycle of bad habits is common in a lot of different situations that can lead to feeling completely drained, that's the main focus of the song lyrically.

Drive in Mind

Drive in Mind is just a cluster of thoughts and observations in my mind, a mind that was quite anxious I guess at the time. I had an image of a massive screen at a drive in cinema but for someone's brain, where you can see all their thoughts and consume it for entertainment, that was one of the concepts for the song.

Have It Your Way

Finally the title track, Have it Your Way, this is just about relationships really, a mental tug of war between two people until finally giving in to the fact that things are just not gonna work and all the emotions that come with that acceptance.'
