We were excited to hear Wilco on 2013's Bluesfest lineup, but now we're just super stoked to know that Wilco have announced an Australian sideshow!
The line-up announcement for Byron Bay’s Bluesfest was released recently and alongside Ben Harper, Santana, Iggy Pop & The Stooges, and Newton Faulkner, American rock quartet WILCO shall be performing at the festival.
But that's not all my friends, it is most definitely not all. Wilco have been making music together since 1994, and tend to come to Australia to visit their loving Aussie fans. Now accompanying their Bluesfest appearance, Wilco have announced a sideshow in good old Melbourne.

Promoter Love Police confirmed the show at Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on March 27, 2013, but have added to the announcement by saying, “It is fair to assume they may be playing another show around that time. Stick with us, and we will let you know real soon what is rollin’.”
So although this is the only Australian show announced so far, it’s fair to assume that there may be more to be announced. Love Police might just be teasing us.
Wilco have been coming to Australia since their first performance at 2003’s Big Day Out and are continuing to tour their 2011 release The Whole Love. Wilco also played at Bluesfest in 2008 and if you talk to anyone who attended either of these shows, you’ll discover that Wilco provide a show that shows a lot of variety, with a mixture of gentle guitar grooves to explosions of alternative rock. Anyone who isn’t going to Bluesfest and wants to see Wilco in action can see the details below.
