Everyone loves a good cover song, there’s no doubt about it. Hearing an alternative version of your favourite tune, performed by one of your favourite artists, is especially an exciting moment. For this week’s 'TOP FIVES', I decided to share with you some of my most enjoyable cover songs!

CLUBFEET 'Latch' (DISCLOSURE Cover)

CLUBFEET love playing covers and after you watch this, you'll be able to see why. They pick a great song, which most people like and then perform it in a way which does absolute justice to the original. After a public vote on social media, they have just announced that they'll be recording a new one, this time of ROYKSOPP's 'Remind Me'.

BENOIT & SERGIO 'Corinne' (METRONOMY Cover)

German duo BENOIT & SERGIO have been producing some excellent dance music lately and have definitely managed to develop a distinctive sound of their own. I’ve had their 2012 cover of METRONOMY on repeat for a while now.

THE XX 'You Got The Love' (FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE Cover)

I don’t think anyone can deny this is a great cover. With their warm, soft vocals, THE XX could probably cover any FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE song and do it well. At Coachella in 2010, the band treated fans with this cover and FLORENCE WELCH joined them on stage for a cameo. What a special moment that would have been!

TAME IMPALA ‘Prototype’ (OUTKAST Cover)

For those of you who weren’t already aware, TAME IMPALA recently performed a fantastic cover of OUTKAST’s Prototype for Triple J’s Like A Version. It’s always great to see bands play a cover of a different genre and this was done almost perfectly. Previously in their live sets, TAME IMPALA were also known to play their amazing cover of MASSIVE ATTACK’s ‘Angel’, which was a big hit at Sydney Opera House, when they took the stage for the 2011 edition of Vivid LIVE.

THE FLAMING LIPS ‘Seven Nation Army’ (THE WHITE STRIPES Cover)

This one certainly brings back memories for me. Below you’ll see an entertaining clip of THE FLAMING LIPS performing ‘Seven Nation Army’ at Big Day Out and it'll remind people what a quality live act these gentlemen are.
