With just over a week left until the highly anticipated Pitch Music & Arts Festival kicks off its seventh edition from March 8 to 12, punters can now officially plan their musical journey as the official set times have been released.
The organisers have also added some exciting names to the already stacked lineup, with Lady Shaka, Edd Fisher, Franck The Operatives, Claire O’Brien, Marli, CaucasianOpportunities, and Hannah D set to join the program.
In addition to the musical offerings, Pitch is set to bring a range of unique experiences to festivalgoers, including the introduction of the purpose-built Greenhouse space which transforms from a recharge haven during the day to an experimental playground at night.
The Greenhouse will feature DJs and takeovers from Skylab Radio, Deep Water, Navy Blue Radio, and a pop-up bar by Quiet Time.
For those seeking wellness experiences, the Pitch Pavilion nestled under a canopy of trees offers immersive workshops, ambient DJ sets, and yoga. New for 2024, festival-goers can indulge in massages, sessions with a reiki healer, and even book tarot card-reading sessions.
Hidden amongst the campgrounds, the Pitch Precinct serves as a hub for eclectic music styles, away from the main stages. Hosted by popular local collectives On3 and The Operatives, this space promises renegade parties and takeovers from Now Hear This, Inbraza, Closet, and Picked Last.
Pitch's commitment to the convergence of music and art remains a festival highlight, with notable artists such as Olivier Ratsi, Spencer Rose, and Øfferings showcasing their works.
The festival's iconic brutalist architecturally designed stages will see a reimagination of their stage designs this year. The Resident Advisor stage preview reveals a stage topped with a custom-made sphere, adding an extra dimension to the visual experience.
Pitch attendees can also look forward to a new merchandise range named Mechanical Utopia, drawing inspiration from binary imagery and pixel art.
Adding a philanthropic touch to the festivities, Pitch will donate $1 for every food item sold at the Community BBQ to aid in the rebuild and recovery efforts for the bushfire-affected community of Pomonal. Festival-goers are encouraged to contribute to this cause by purchasing burgers, sausage sizzles, and bacon and egg rolls from the community BBQ.
And — of course — the full lineup boasts an impressive array of artists, including 999999999, Ahadadream, Akua, Anz, and many more.
For added convenience, Pitch offers Pre-Pitched tents, allowing attendees to arrive at a fully set-up tent and dive straight into the festival experience.
