More Cheap Fakes More Cheap Fakes

Currently on their Modern Vintage album tour with their newest record of the same name, Brissy ska outfit Cheap Fakes stopped by our offices recently to have a quick chat and play us a song.

Bringing their brass and a pot plant drum kit, Cheap Fakes played us Sand On The Beach, off their newest, amidst our herb garden.

Hayden Andrews says of Modern Vintage: "We wanted this album to be an experience and a journey for the listener. There are a lot of different styles and genres and we have worked really hard to craft an album that is intense and huge in parts but then gentle and sparse in others. It is definitely an album of big build ups and breakdowns, tension and release."

Presented by The Music, the six-piece are wrapping up their tour at Melbourne's Sooki Lounge on 13 November.
