The Meanies Tour Diary Part Two

16 October 2014 | 2:18 pm | The Meanies

The Meanies tick off a major life goal and all they did was sit on a couch.

With the fun times of the Perth and Adelaide shows still ringing in our ears, The Meanies hit the Tullamrine Fwy once more to catch a big white bird to Sydney to do the next leg of the Jubilee Tour, 25 Years Young & Relevant.

As soon as we landed we went to the ABC to programme rage!, which was a definite career highlight. Expect to see that on the tele when it gets aired early 2015. We were like rabbits in the headlights so I'm a little hesitant to watch it myself!

You may recall Link ended last weekend in a wheelchair due to an injured foot during the Adelaide show. Well after a visit to the hospital it was determined that his foot was actually broken, so it made for a pretty interesting show at The Roller Den, one that Link did fairly motionless as his moonboot and crutches restricted him somewhat. There were moments though where I think he forgot his situation and he did let loose a little. But those moments were fleeting as I suspect the pain may have reminded him of the reality.

Nonetheless we had another ripper day and night. Bring on Tassie and Brissie this weekend!

Link got a new pair of boots for the Sydney trip. Pity they didn't match...

Here we are on that famous red couch.
