Briefly describe your show: Between a backdrop of both bridges at a brand new waterfront location in Glebe, Global Rhythms will be an afternoon of beautiful music, international food, workshops, activities and environmental sustainability.

What was the inspiration behind your show? We're bringing eight of the best world music bands from around the country to perform live on the day. We're excited about growing a world music festival in the most culturally diverse city in Australia.

What will make you stand out from the Fringe crowd? We're hoping to have the kind of crowd who wants to lay down a picnic rug, grab a bottle of wine from the bar, enjoy some Middle Eastern market food, kick back, relax or dance!

Briefly describe the development process of your show? We've been presenting Global Rhythms since 2010 and have been organically growing it on each occasion. 2016 marks the first time we have partnered with the Sydney Fringe Festival and we're excited to be one of the main events for the closing weekend.

What was the biggest challenge you encountered in this show? The logistics of putting on a massive outdoor event in Sydney in a never before used waterfront location while flying in artists from around the country has been at times a little nerve wracking!

Why did you decide to do Fringe this year? The relationship between Fringe Festivals and world music events is historically very successful. It amazed us that no one in Sydney was already presenting one. Also, we love all these artists on Eastside Radio.

What makes a good Fringe show? What do you personally look for from the perspective of an audience member? The ability to be a part of something unique and not available for the rest of the year. We also love to support independent artists that fall outside the mainstream and are worthy of attention.

What do you love about Fringe Festival besides all the shows? It's great to venture outside of our village and explore the whole of the city. There's an energetic buzz around the Inner West and East with plenty of cheap and cheerful places to eat.

Where and when is your Fringe show on? 25 Sep, midday to 8pm, Bicentennial Park, Glebe.
