More Stand Atlantic More Stand Atlantic

Adam (Keli Holiday):

Cooper Smith is a king. Love him.

Kahlia from JUNO:

Austin Mackay always puts on a great show, so I'm definitely excited to see him. I recently discovered Alayna and love her r&b/soul sound - she has such an incredible voice! I'm excited to see Stand Atlantic for the first time; their music is really fun and hits teenage Kahlia right in the emo/pop punk feels. I'm keen to see fellow Brisbane-ites Beddy Rays and Towns from Adelaide - I’ve heard great things about both bands!

tiffi (Tiffany):

I’m very excited to see Matahara and Chloe Parché, but I’m sure I’m going to discover so many new acts that I love!

breathe.:

We’re keen to discover acts we don’t know, but we like Friday, Armlock, and The Belair Lip Bombs.

PEPTALK:

The BIGSOUND lineup this year is hectic! We’re so excited that so many of our friends are showcasing. We will definitely be jetting from stage to stage!

We’ve been fortunate enough to have had songwriting sessions with Chloe Parché, Paige, and Georgia Lines. After seeing them kill it in the studio, we can’t wait to see them kill it on stage. We’re super keen to check out Medhanit; we’ve been loving what she’s been releasing!

Also, we can’t wait to be in the front row for Vetta Borne. She is so unbelievably talented in every way; we kinda hate her.

Bean Magazine:

We’re most excited to see Dust at BIGSOUND this year. They happen to be playing right before us at Soapbox Beer, so you could save your legs and catch us both back-to-back on Thursday. We’re also pumped to see Will Hearn. We heard him for the very first time on Unearthed whilst we waited for our song to be played and couldn’t help but fall in love with him and his music. We yearn for the Hearn. The Belair Lip Bombs is another one that never disappoints, so their sets are definitely pencilled in.

Zion Garcia:

Above anything else, I’m keen to just go and discover something fresh. But I’m keen to see some of the mutual friends I’ve made over socials that I haven’t gotten to see live yet, like Jamaica Moana, Tiffi, and more. But I’m also keen to kick it with my bro FRIDAY* and mosh for the millionth time. Keen.

J-MILLA:

I’m really keen to see Miiesha, Dem Mob and Jamahl Yami. My little bro Yung Milla is doing his solo set at the INCUBATED showcase, so I’ll be there for that for sure.

Yung Milla:

We connected with Jamahl Yami when he was in Darwin recently, so I’m gonna check out his show. Also, Mau Power because he is the OG!

Medhanit:

Stocker!!! I’m so keen to see her latest EP, Lip Locked, come to life. We’re both playing La La Land on September 3rd, so I best believe I will be there to watch her set.

Noah Dillon:

There's so many amazing acts, what a hard question!!! I think the two bands I am most excited to see are Armlock and Dust. I've been smashing Armlock on my morning commute to work and can’t wait to see it live. I feel like both bands are expressing themselves in a way that is rare to see in the Australian music scene: unapologetically emotional and dynamic. They paint such a visceral feeling with their music, there is so much magic when the the sonic landscape of music matches the lyrical content, I am so excited to feel that magic watching these bands!

Luca (Neptune):

At the start of this year, I did my first-ever support tour opening for Aussie folk royalty Jack Botts. Along the road, I also got to share the stage with another young legend called Ishan. It was both of our first times on a tour run, so it was really special getting to experience something like that together. I was stoked when I saw he was on the BIGSOUND lineup, and I have no doubt I’ll be front row for his performances.

Beddy Rays:

Maaan, there are so many incredible artists on this year's lineup to choose from! But if we had to narrow it down to just one artist, it would have to be The Belair Lip Bombs. Ever since hearing their song Stay Or Go on the radio, that catchy bassline had us hooked and doing a deep dive into their discography. Definitely keen to see them put on a show at BIGSOUND!

Dear Sunday:

THIS LINEUP IS STACKED; the absolute best part about touring is all the new friends we meet along the way. We are really looking forward to all of our friends’ sets: Keli Holiday, Little Guilt, Sly Withers, and Velvet Club (just to name a few). But aside from that, super excited to meet other artists that we haven’t had the chance to get to know yet that are all in the same position as us, trying to see what they can make of this whole music stuff. It’s always so hard not to fall in love with other people’s music when you meet the people behind the music and we’re so grateful that we get to constantly do that.

dust / Gabriel Stove (Guitarist):

Armlock, Garage Sale, Private Wives and The Prize

alayna:

There's an incredible mix of Aotearoa artists there this year, and I can't wait to support them all. Georgia Lines is having an amazing year, and I love watching her perform and can't wait to see what her set is like for BIGSOUND.

Reuben - Y.O.G.A.:

Bella Mackenzie! Her song Cowboy is next level, and I wanna see it live in the flesh!

Brae - Dear Seattle:

Armlock because their last record has been on repeat in my house for the better part of the last 12 months, and I first discovered them last BIGSOUND. I'm keen to make it a tradition.

BIGSOUND 2024 will run from Tuesday, 3 to Friday, 6 September, at Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley. You can find all the details about this year’s event here.
