PREMIERE: Verbal Tactics Muse On Lost Love In New Joelistics-Produced Single 'What We Never Had'

The Melbourne duo are back in the limelight after a quiet year so far.

Melbourne hip hop duo Verbal Tactics are stepping back into the limelight with their polished new single What We Never Had, produced by acclaimed artist and beatsmith Joelistics.

The track serves as a bit of a preview into what the two-piece have been up to this year, as they've spent the past several months working away on their upcoming album. It features guest spots from Antixx — he of Sensible Antixx and our own weekly hip hop column, pRhymeTime — and Rhys Thompson, better known by his stage name, Saint Felix.

The varied voices create a multilayered soundscape of perspectives about the song's central conceit — namely, a rumination on love lost — atop Joelistics' refined production, evidencing a step forward for Verbal Tactics as they look to move on from, and follow up, their previous EP, Start The Show.

The pair are set to make a return to the stage in early November, so be sure to swing them a Like on Facebook to stay informed when they next rear their heads
