“It’s often easy to be convinced we are ‘in love’ when we are not."
The latest single from Sydney indie rockers Sunscreen, as described by vocalist Sarah Sykes, “is about questioning a relationship, and asking whether it should be really taking place at all.”
High Over Love is the first tune from the band’s forthcoming second EP, which was produced by Simon ‘Berkfinger’ Berkelman (Philadelphia Grand Jury, Art Vs. Science).
“It’s often easy to be convinced we are ‘in love’ when we are not - and when the reality is closer to unhealthy dependence, or simply a fear of being alone.,” Sykes said.
“The song shines light on this common experience.
“Each song on the EP was written collaboratively by the band, born out of a jam at our practice studio in Marrickville or in our old share house."
Sunscreen will hit the road next month in support of the new single; check out theGuide for all the details.
