Classically trained Brissy musician Solomon O has unveiled his debut single, Holograms, a stylish synth-splashed electro-indie-pop ditty that capably makes a distinguished statement of intent.
Self-recorded with assistance from his mate and session drummer, Brandon Gillies, the track is an inviting and intelligent inaugural effort, layered with atmospheric instrumentation, danceable beats and hushed, honeyed vocals aplenty. If this is what he's capable of off the bat, we're pretty excited to see what he offers up in future releases.
That said, it shouldn't be too surprising that he's managed to step out in such accomplished style, given his education and experience, which not only includes the aforementioned refined schooling in guitar and piano but a stint in a gospel band, time in London and a stretch in Sydney, all of which have informed the man's multi-faceted musicality.
The single is due to land on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and other digital retailers this Friday, 17 March.

Beyond that, he'll be unveiling the accompanying video clip in the coming weeks and doubtlessly be returning to the well to treat us to more tunes in the near future, so we'd highly recommend keeping your eyes and ears fixed in Solomon O's direction for when his next piece of material does eventually manifest.
