SINGLE PREMIERE: Sash - I Don't Want Something

Emergent NSW singer-songwriter Sash is following the success of her debut single, Night Light, with another accomplished arrangement in new track I Don't Want Something, proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today.

Her first song went on to swiftly pick up rotation of triple j Unearthed's digital radio station, and her new work should at least equal that achievement. Shaking off its reverberating, atmospheric intro, the song soon picks up into an easy danceable strut, propelled by punchy, layered instrumentation and Sash's powerful, polished vocals, set against the narrative backdrop of an undoubtedly close-to-home tale of "a young girl manipulated in the music industry, and how she fights back".

"This song means a lot to me," she said in a statement. "It's about standing up for yourself, staying true to who you want to be and not letting anyone change that."

The track is officially released this Friday, 31 March, via The A&R Department.
