SINGLE PREMIERE: Sami Cartwright - 'Floodgates'

Sydney country artist Sami Cartwright is beckoning the release of her new single, Floodgates, premiering right here at The Music. 

A track that celebrates her raw emotive energy, Cartwright says the single is an ode to those feelings of occasionally being at the fringes of normality. 

“Floodgates is my second single to be released and showcases more of who I am as an artist,” Cartwright told The Music.

“I wrote Floodgates about finding myself and regaining confidence after a dark period.”

Country producer extraordinaire Matt Fell is at the helm of the track, whom Cartwright said was instrumental in finding the uniquely soulful sound for the tune. 

“I couldn’t wait to take the song to Matt,” continued Cartwright. 

“After hearing it with all of the beautiful overlapping melodies and strong drum work by Josh Schuberth - I couldn’t be more proud of what we could create.”
