SINGLE PREMIERE: Runaway Mornings – ‘In The Cold’
“It was just something I’d play to myself, whenever it popped into my head."
The first of a number of releases expected from Sydney-based singer-songwriter Runaway Mornings this year, In The Cold offers up crisp indie electronic instrumentation and deep vocals.
It’s the first new single since 2018’s In Hindsight EP, and is a deeply personal and contemplative song from the local artist.
“This song was just one I’d had hibernating for a little while, it was around for the recording of the first EP, but I was a little close to it at the time, so I never brought it out to show anyone,” he said.
“It was just something I’d play to myself, whenever it popped into my head. This completely personal therapeutic song, that I never thought much about releasing, let alone recording, became the obvious choice for the next single.”
