SINGLE PREMIERE: Mt Cleverest - 'Linger'

Perth's Mt Cleverest today share their brand new track, Linger.

The track is the lead single from the group's forthcoming EP, which was recorded, mixed & mastered with producer Rob Grant at Poons Head Studios in Fremantle. 

"Linger came about when I was messing around on a bass and hooked into that riff, and everyone jammed it out and added their own parts and it came together pretty quickly," shares guitarist Max Hutchings of the track.

"To me, the song is the perfect summary of our sound; plenty of different parts but everything blends together throughout the song. For me, it also shows our mix of genres: hip hop inspired drum and bass hook with rapping throughout the verses, mixed with a punchy rock chorus, aggressive riff and a solo towards the end.

"It feels amazing to come back with new material after working at this new EP for so long... can't wait to get everything out in the wild."
