Melbourne singer-songwriter Luke Brennan (ex-Big Smoke) is continuing his foray into solo-material territory with moving new single When I Was Yours, proudly premiering on theMusic.com.au today.
The tune is set for release this coming Tuesday, 8 August, through First Love Records, and is the second single to be taken from the multi-talented musician's impending full-length album.
When I Was Yours boasts a soulful, Western bent, replete with harmonic slide guitar and heart-on-sleeve lyrics that delve into personal, relatable territory. Atop it all, Brennan's polished but heartfelt vocals pull together the sublime, stripped-back package.
Brennan is set to launch the single with a show at The Grace Darling on Thursday, 10 August, with support from Angie McMahon and Tilly Perry.
