"The song represents a personal journey that is seemingly about heartbreak, a violation of trust and having your lust for life taken away."
Melbourne based duo LEFKADA are back in the groove with a brand new single Lungs and it is premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au today.
Birthed in a two-hour improvised jam session, the track sees producer/drummer Tim Cox and songwriter pianist Selene Messinis come together on a synth-y wave of intricate and rhythmic design.
Speaking about the track, Messinis believes “the song represents a personal journey that is seemingly about heartbreak, a violation of trust and having your lust for life taken away".
"However, this all leads to a strong woman triumphing over an abrupt break-up, leading to a new found independence and inner strength," she said.
