More Julian Schweitzer More Julian Schweitzer

The new single from Melbourne-based producer Julian Schweitzer might just stop you in your tracks.

Teaming up with Gold Coast songwriter Greg Chiapello, he’s produced raw, emotive new anthem Hold Me Back, which premieres today via The Music.

“I’ve known Greg since we were young and growing up in Brisbane,” Schweitzer told The Music.

“I always loved watching him perform and he was one of my favourite musicians in the Brissie scene.

“Greg has one of those rare voices that makes you stop whatever you’re doing and listen. His ability to layer harmony and create a wall of sound gave me goosebumps whilst tracking.”

Chiapello added: “We only started writing together in late 2019. We knew quickly we had a really strong chemistry which has led to a heap of writing this year.

Hold Me Back was the first song we wrote together. To me, this song sits somewhere in those slow-dancing moments before big change, when everything is just beginning to make sense and you think you’ve got it all figured out and you do everything you can to hold onto the moment before life throws you back into the washing machine.”

Hold Me Back is slated for release this Friday but you can check it out above now.
