SINGLE PREMIERE: JaZZella - 'Shoot'

Sunshine Coast indie-pop starlet JaZZella has dropped her brand new single, Shoot.

The singer/songwriter shared that the new tune came from a place of unusual doubt for the performer, and is all about working through the tough times to find something great.

"This time 12 months ago, I wasn't in my usual positive headspace," she explained. 

"I had hit a few hurdles and lost all of my motivation to pursue anything that I had previously cared about. 

"On the 3rd of July 2020, I decided to pick up my guitar and give it a strum. I didn't know what chord I wanted to play, and I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life either. My mind was a worried scramble as I began absent-mindedly playing two chords. 

"Ten minutes later I was staring down at the lyrics to this song that I had subconsciously scribbled into my diary. I looked at what I had created and actually smiled to myself! I had found a whole new perspective.

"Shoot captures my heart, personality and message in one tidy little song with a ribbon on it. It's a pure message from the optimistic and light side of my personality to the darker side of myself that appears through tough times when I can't see clearly and lose sight of who I am and where I'm going."
