InklinesSydney group Inklines today share their brand new track, Too Much.
“We wanted to do something a little different," shared frontman Will Tremain.
"I didn’t have a specific goal in mind when writing this song – it just came from a strange time in my life, where I was losing track of a lot of things happening around me and I hadn’t tried writing anything for a while.
"Once I had the guitar intro, the other bits kind of fell in to place – the whole thing seemed to want to keep growing dynamically, and I didn’t fight it.
“The same thing happened with the lyrics. I had the idea for the chorus for a while and the rest of the lyrics grew around that pretty instantaneously, once the instrumentation was there. They were definitely a major exaggeration of events in my life, but I think that to some degree the overall theme is something a lot of people can relate – so again I just tried not to over-control it”.
