PREMIERE: Hobart's All Fires The Fire Take A Dark Turn With New Post-Punk Single

Hobart post-punk outfit All Fires The Fire have delivered an exciting first taste of their next album with new single Wild.

The inspiration for the new song – and the rest of their forthcoming record, Songs Of The Silent Age – came from watching German films that were made during the interwar years.

“There was a mood then of impending doom, growing intolerance, greed and righteousness,” vocalist Adam Ouston said.

“Something about those films foreshadowed the horrors that were to come. We wanted to tap into that mood because it feels like all those things have come around again.

“So Wild is really about indulgence, lust and greed - the crumbling of a familiar world and the emergence of something horrible and unhomely.”

Wild gets a hometown launch at The Commons this Saturday, November 11, at 2pm.
