Single title? (Can’t) Give You Love

What’s the song about? A flirtatious girl who’ll lead you on but when it comes to the crunch, her love is not on offer!

How long did it take to write/record? Not too long. The song came together during an early writing session starting with a cool beat and groovy bass line and then Kaliah (vocals) did her thing. 

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? We are excited because this is our debut single! We have another single to release early next year. We are currently working on an album which will be out next year… it’s going to be epic!   

What was inspiring you during the songs writing and recording? Channelling the mid-’60s vibe and listening to a lot of soul and blues along the way. We captured the sound we were going for in the recording, and we are super happy about that.

We’ll like this song if we like... To dance and do the twist! If you appreciate the joys of good soulful groove with attitude, you’ll dig this!

Do you play it differently live? The live show is very raw and energetic, but that comes across in the recording too. We definitely get into it when playing live, it’s really a lot of fun!

When and where is your launch/next gig? The Gasometer Hotel, 19 Oct, with The Grand Rapids, The Sons Of Mod, Lara Travis and MC Andrew McCulloch.
