How long did it take to write/record? I was working on a few songs at the time; I had the chorus first then ended up using parts from a few other tracks and piecing it all together over a few days.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Harvest In The Night is taken from our forthcoming second album A Bird Called Cognition. Due out in August.
What was inspiring you during the songs writing and recording? I was reading a lot of books on consciousness, cognition and meditation at the time, while listening to a fair bit of Wilco. Quite an introspective period as my father had recently passed away.
We’ll like this song if we like... Midlake, Wilco, Morning Phase-era Beck, Doves, Shins.
Do you play it differently live? The album version is five plus minutes, the current release is a radio-friendly version. We perform the full album version live.
