Single title? Wood & Wire
What’s the song about? Two little birds making a nest out of a discarded guitar – a musician’s life in microcosm.
How long did it take to write/record? Writing: a full day of introspection and remembering the key of E minor. Recording: two or three takes with overdubbing fueled by a coffee machine and Coopers Green.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? Excerpted from the forthcoming EP A Woman Under The Influence, named after the abundance of decadence within our songs and band, and a particularly emotionally gruesome film by drunken patron saint John Cassavetes.
What was inspiring you during the song’s writing and recording? A hangover, a heatwave and a new journal from an old love.
We’ll like this song if we like... Diminished scale runs, MXR Blue Boxes, basslines that rumble your ribcage, floor toms, swearing and abusive alliteration.
Do you play it differently live? Sometimes I ‘accidentally’ play the Tetris theme during the instrumental break.
When and where is your launch/next gig? The launch is Friday 5 Sep at Flyrite with Aborted Tortoise, Night Signals, Dream Rimmy and Shit Narnia, with a follow-up live video launch 19 Sep at The Hive.
