Single title? Something Has Changed

What's the song about? The song follows the bewilderment and delusion of an insecure person surrendering control to an alter-ego, real or imagined.

How long did it take to write/record? The song was conceived in about an hour or two. Rehearsing, recording and mixing the track to the point of release has taken about nine months or so.

Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? We plan to keep writing, recording and releasing singles until we have enough tracks to release a debut album we can be proud of. Hopefully by mid-2016 unless we win the lottery...

What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? It was influenced by the collage of people, music and wineries we absorbed during the SA leg of our October 2014 tour. Our songs often stem from conversation and horsing around on an acoustic guitar.

We'll like this song if we like... A mixture of classic rock and indie roots. Think groovy riffs with melodic hooks and psychedelic elements.

Do you play it differently live? We try to stay true to the recording, but inevitably things get a little dirtier live as we play our extended version.

When and where is your launch/next gig? We'll be releasing Something Has Changed at World Bar Friday 31 July. Mention you're there to see Pirra for $5 entry.
