What's the song about?: It's about human need. Frailty and imperfection. How we fail each other, yet our need for each other is undeniable.
How long did it take to write/record? I don't remember how long it took to write, but it took 3 years to record. I sat on it for quite a while. I wasn't sure what to make of the song.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? This track is the first single from the forthcoming release, A Light From The Other Side. The CD will be released September 23, 2016.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? I was newly separated and all my stuff was in storage and I was living out of a suitcase at my friend Irene's in NYC. I was also falling in love which was totally unexpected.

Do you play it differently live? Each time I play the song it's slightly different because it's a living thing. And the instrumentation is different depending on whether I am playing solo or with other musicians.
