Single title? Lonely Night
What's the song about? Finding comfort in the fact that none of us are ever as alone as we think we are.
How long did it take to write/record? I wrote this song about two years ago, but only recorded it last month. Spent a couple of days working on it in the studio with Jordan Power.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? This is the first single off my forthcoming debut album which I am looking to release in 2018.
What was inspiring you during the song's writing and recording? I was (and still am) deeply affected by the impact that social media has on our mental health. We seem to be comparing ourselves to each other than ever before.
We'll like this song if we like... Drowning in simple, open production and lyrics that we can all connect with and relate to.
Do you play it differently live? Depends whether I'm playing solo or with a full band. Although the production is very earthy and simple - Lonely Night was recorded with a full band.
When and where is your launch/next gigs? Single Launch is this Wednesday, Aug 16, at El Grotto in Scarborough - FREE ENTRY. I will also be playing at Defector's Bar in Mount Lawley Aug 17.
