"We've been able to come full circle to being born in that city to coming to Australia ... playing music and leading us back to our place of birth."

It's not often that a band heads to Africa on tour, so this incredible tour diary of afro-electronic trio True Vibenation taking to their homeland last year is a welcome look into the stunning landscapes, vibrant nightlife and amazing festivals the continent is home to.

The band drive through Cape Town and play in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa, hang out with the locals and play street soccer, jam out with Rastafarian barbers and catch a cross-country train ride, the whole trip marking a return for twins Vuli and Moody to their birth city of Harare in Zimbabwe.

The tour is practice for the band as they head out on a European tour this June/July, playing Glastonbury Festival as well as Arrifana Sunset Festival in Portugal. Before they head to the northern hemisphere, True Vibenation will hit up Brisbane's Boundary Hotel on 3 June and Melbourne's Boney on 4 June.
