Sarah Hamilton of Ditto Music gives us the lowdown before her talk at CHANGES Melbourne this week.
"Ditto Music will be showing independent artists and labels how to best use platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, and will also demystify the world of playlisting.
With things changing in the digital space so quickly, it can be hard to figure out where to get information, what is actually available to artists, and how things work. Ditto Music will put it together in an accessible and practical workshop, so that artists, managers and labels can master the digital sphere with confidence.
The workshop will include an overview of digital distribution and how it works, different business models options available, the back ends of Spotify and Apple Music, how playlists work, and finally - how to get on them. There will be case studies and examples, and tips on how to make your artist profiles look professional, and best showcase your music."
