Ascendant indie-folk songstress Rowena Wise is on an unassailable upwards climb right now, with a new booking deal, a single release, forthcoming debut EP and a tour around the country all on her mind at the moment. We here at theMusic.com.au are thrilled to be on-board from the outset with this exclusive stream of her brand new cut — and debut single — Words.

The single arrives hot on the heels of a newly inked booking deal with Heartstop Music, and is the first track to be taken from Wise's eagerly awaited debut EP, due for release this March. Find out more about the release at Wise's Pozible page.

Before that hits stores, though, the prodigious 21-year-old will be joining acclaimed troubadour Jordie Lane for an Australian tour (as well as a few festival slots for good measure), though she'll kick things off with a pair of single-release shows in Sydney (20 February at The Newsagency, with Julia Jacklin) and Melbourne (21 February at Wesley Anne, with Jackson McLaren). From there, she and Lane will perform together in Fremantle, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne (twice), Ararat and Geelong, with Wise taking time out to hit up WA's Nannup Music Festival from 28 February to 2 March, Blue Mountains Festival from 13-15 March, and the Mount Beauty Music Festival from 24-26 April.
