What does your store specialise in? Recycled records and new local vinyl releases.

What's on high rotation on the store stereo at the moment and why? Iggy Pop — Post Pop Depression, new and well produced. David Bowie — anything, Gabriella Cohen — Full Closure & No Details and The Grand Magoozi (self titled) both dreamy Aussie indie-folk albums.

What does a record store offer that clicking or tapping a button can't? Record Paradise is a space to celebrate, engage with and talk about recorded music for fans, music lovers and makers. It encourages you to use your inner-cranial data base and have a dig!

Despite declines in other areas of the industry, vinyl is seeing an increase in sales. Why do you think that is? The music industry is currently putting money and resources into promoting vinyl reissues to cash in on the current interest in records an ironic consequence of the indie counterculture that championed the trend.

What have you got planned on Record Store Day (including any sweet exclusives you'll have)? Record Paradise is open from 10am with RSD releases, lucky 7" dip, DJs and Record Paradise Bar. Live music from 4 — 9pm with Jess Ribeiro, Ella Hooper, Danny Walsh Banned, General Men and Hi-Tec Emotions.
