Purple Sneakers and UNDR Ctrl look back at their official EMC 2016 showcase

Last week, the annual Electronic Music Conference (or EMC) descended on Sydney for another year, serving as a melting pot for key movers and shakers in the electronic music industry to rub shoulders, listen to panels and so much more. Now, panels and keynotes might not be for everyone, which is where EMCPlay comes in.

Kicking off last night, a variety of official EMCPlay showcases went down, serving as a live component of the conference. With venues across Sydney transforming for curated lineups of emerging artists, the atmosphere was positively electric as punters and delegates crammed into rooms to catch a glimpse of the next potential "Big Thing".

This year, we held our own official showcase, alongside our friends UNDR Ctrl. With a tasteful lineup of WRLD, Third Floor, Muto, MEZKO, Annie Bass, ELSZ and Aeora, each act proved themselves as formidable forces in the electronic scene. It was an excellent night with exceptional talent on display, and if you were lucky enough to come along, you would have experienced first hand just how fantastic each act was on stage.
