How do you unwind after a show? Depends on where I am on the run sheet – either watch the other comedians or listen back to my set and take notes on the way home.
Do you have any topics you avoid making jokes about? As a white, middle-class man I feel like there’s no shortage of other white, middle-class men in Australia who are keen to give you their two cents, so I try to stick to personal experience. That said, I don’t do sexist, racist, or homophobic material – punch up, not down.
Is there anyone else in the festival you’re hanging out to see? Cyrus Bezyan, Michael Hing, Steen Raskopoulos – I went to uni with these guys and they’re all inspirations. Penny Greenhalgh, Michael Workman, Ray Badran, Rhys Nicholson, Matt Okine. So many!
